Tiger Woods May Have Slept While Driving

March 3, 2021 by

While not every accident is a crime, golfing legend Tiger Woods may have played a significant role in bringing about the incident that landed him from within an inch of his life after careening over a Los Angeles County curb and smack bang into a tree in his SUV early last week.

U.S. forensic experts are now speculating about the possibility of Woods having possibly fallen asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle. And according to Jonathan Cherney, a forensic consultant who provides car accident analysis in an expert capacity in court, and who following last week’s accident paid a visit to the scene of the crash, what he found at the site was indeed in line with someone falling asleep while driving a motor vehicle.

Cherney recently told a major US news and opinion broadcaster that since the road curves at the point where the golfer’s vehicle went “off road”, with the vehicle having continued to travel in a straight line, all indications are that Woods may have suffered a classic case of fatigue while driving. The brake application, said Cherney, only kicked into action one the vehicle had left the surface of the road. He also confirmed that no tire or skid marks were visible on the stretch of the road where Woods would have been driving.

Authorities have all throughout the investigation remained adamant that no alcohol or drugs were suspected of having played a part in the accident. Woods was however never tested for any substances.
